Peach says: It is often suggested to read a chapter of Proverbs a day. There are 31 chapters. One for every day of the month. Some refer to the Book of Proverbs, as the Book of Wisdom. But, regardless of what you call it, it IS a book of pure wisdom, from the Maker of Heaven and Earth, so worthwhile it is!
A couple of times through the years, I have made that my practice. I have to say, it truly impacted me for the better. I needed it! I needed that supplement to strengthen my wisdom! We take protein supplements to strengthen our bodies and vitamins to better equip our bodies. So why not supplement our minds, and hearts and spirits with Godly wisdom?
I have been wanting for a few months to get back in the habit of reading a chapter of Proverbs a day, and kept getting side tracked. But, I started again, and thought it would be good to highlight a particular verse from each chapter for meditating on it, you know, letting it go to work in me, so to speak!
I found Proverbs 19 a treasure trove of gems. I picked this particular verse to share today “23Â The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.” – Proverbs 19:23. KJV.
The Bible tells us that the Lord has said His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. I find this to be breathtakingly true. I believe if I have any purpose outside of the miracle of being Batman’s wife and our children’s mother, and all the other wonderful family roles I am blessed to have in this thing called life, it is to help equip Christians to have the knowledge they need to THRIVE! He has given us all we need, we just need to be thirsty for it!!
As I am able, I will do my best to share with you, the verse I’m focusing on each day!
I hope you have a God seeking week!! You can’t go wrong with that!!
Love!
