a gracious spirit is better than money in the bank.” – Proverbs 22:1 The Message.

Reputation. I think this word as used today, may have strayed a bit from what is meant in this passage of scripture.

This is not about caring what other people think, not in the way of being a people pleaser. This is about being a person of integrity, a person who is known as a person of their word. I sometimes pray and declare that ‘in our family we are people of our word, because we are made in the image of our Father, and He IS a God of His Word!!’ And ‘He’s not a man that He should lie’ and ‘In Him all His Promises are Yes and Amen’.

It’s important to cautiously give our word, even prayerfully, considering the cost beforehand. Then let the Lord help us to give our best, and let Him add His extra to our best, so we can shine His light everywhere we go! Be people of our word, just like our God is!

This is part of my series on the Proverbs in pursuit of His wisdom! I need all the help I can get! 👍🏻😉 Thank you for sharing these with me!

Love,

Peach
