A Flash From the Past

Peach here!

Batman and I have been navigating through a bit of Covid. Nothing dramatic, but as with and illness you have to get through it, and recover and get your stamina back.

While doing that you have to sort of be distant and be sure not to expose others to your flu. And for someone like me, that’s wayyyy to much time on my hands! Worse of all for me is too much time in my HEAD! Lol!

Anywho, I came across this post I wrote probably a week or so before Covid became a big deal in all of our lives.

I’m going to try to link it here, because Lord knew I needed to hear these words tonight, and maybe someone else needs them, too!

Hope it blesses someone!

Dunno

Batman says:

I will preface this post with saying that it’s probably going to ramble and make NO sense at all…

New Year, hmmm ok well it’s not like we have a choice about staying in the old one, so here’s hopin y’all enjoy this one. Funny thing, the passage of time, sometimes it goes fast, sometimes excruciatingly slow, but it always passes. Sometimes I feel 800 and others 12 (Peach says I always act 12) but in the great scheme of things I age like everyone else. Time is supposed to help us grow wiser and learn from past mistakes and victories, but some don’t learn at all it seems. I for one seem to repeat mistakes numerous times before they sink in and I try stuff a different way.

Christmas is gone and I’m saddened a little, I like seeing the joy on the faces of people that get what they hoped for or get unexpected, but welcome gifts. Funny how watching the joy others get, makes a genuine person just as happy.

New Years Eve, everyone and their brother around here launches fireworks, from dark till who knows, and it is cool to watch and see. No apologies to those who move here from somewhere else and then complain about the noise scaring their pets…go back where you were and take your pets, one person’s trying to change the way 50 have always done, is kinda self centered, don’t ya think? (My post so I can say stuff like that till Peach over rules me 😬). One thing time hasn’t fixed, I am still frightened of Peach 😂😂, j/k but I am frightened I may disappoint her.

Ever wonder where stuff went over the years? I do, all the time, like where the heck did my patience go? I used to be sooo patient with everything, now it’s like calm then instant irritation. Or where did skinny me go? It’s like this big grumpy guy ate me and I’m trapped in him, trying to get out but liking peaches’s punkin pie too much. Socks, that’s easy, the washing machine eats them, end of story.

Bought a book the other day, that in itself isn’t unusual we do that quite often, this one claimed it would improve my photography skills. I’m always willing to learn to be a better photographer and I figure this fella must know a bit as he’s graduated from the New England School of Photography, been on tv shows has his own business and so on. So I fork out a few dollars and start reading…impass.. what is it about college educated people who want to teach people things, always talk at such a high level of expertise that the only people who understand them, don’t really need to be taught, as they already know the material??!! I did expect to have to struggle a bit as I am by no means someone that knows much about the technical aspect of photography, my skill lies in the ‘oh look, that would make a cool picture *snap*” and move on school of picture taking. It’s kinda funny how almost every camera on the market these days has an auto feature, and EVERY expert photographer right off the bat says “don’t use the auto feature”. Then why in the Sam Hill did they put one on the camera?? I take pictures, I like the looks of some and I trash the others, I will probably never be anywhere near Ansel Adams (he was a famous photographer), and who knows if I’ll never sell much, but I like to learn stuff. Why can’t these edumacated folks speak in plain speak. You can explain all the technical aspects and do it using plain speak instead of technical mumbo jumbo, can’t ya? I mean how hard is it to say “the higher the f/stop number, the smaller opening on the aperture” this is something I can wrap my foggy brain around. I use lower f/stop numbers to blur the background and higher to make the background more clear, easy peasy. Anyways, I’m reading it grumbling all the way and I’m sure I will glean information from it, I just wish it wasn’t taught by a rocket scientist (joke). Maybe I’m too old and set in my ways to be taught, probably be better through trial and error.

Read something yesterday I found interesting: the Country music band from my youth “Alabama” was awarded over 200 awards over its career, and are the most successful music band in country music history! Who’d a thunk it? Told y’all I’m all over the place today 😬

Peach and I took a trip in my BRAND NEW FORD F150 😬 which we bought on the exact same day of the year that I got my previous one, to go see my sister, her husband, and my mom, who’s 85 (and ornery as ever) and we had an excellent time. We learned stuff about the truck and we learned we can’t drive as long as we used to without stopping to stretch the old bones (mine Peach you’re not old). And we learned that the next day is pretty much marked off for recuperation.

By the way, John Wayne, he was awesome.

Ok, I think I have bounced all around enough for one post. Peach and I truly wish you and yours all the blessings you want and need over the new year and hope to see you somewhere down the road…

By the way, anyone know a really good travel trailer for a couple, weighing under 6000lbs…

That Room

Batman says:

Pretty sure everyone has one, that room that everything seems to migrate to over time. For me it’s my “radio room” or also known as the “purple” room as it has purple flowers decorating the walls (don’t ask).

Over the past months it has slowly collected odds and ends and things that are in transit to their final spot, or stuff I pack-rat away. It’s finally reached the point I have to do something, simply for the fact I can barely get in there to do anything. Fortunately for me my “pack-rat” propensity does not come with the “I gotta keep this for ever” attachment (in most cases, yes I do need 3 spare routers). Once the cleaning begins, you really need to stick at it, or you just end up making small piles of stuff all over the house, which despite her patience, would I’m sure, cause Peach to lose her mind. I contribute enough to her issues, she don’t need me to add more 😬 (sorry, squirrel ran by).

Pick a corner and start, not really sure how or why, but I seem to save cardboard boxes that things come in, prolly to use to wrap presents, but then deciding a person might think it’s one thing, and be disappointed when it’s not what the box says. So there goes 6 boxes of various shapes and sizes. Old papers and scraps of things I was going to “fix or use” one day get tossed in the bag. Oh look! A zip up bag that a bed spread came in, perfect to put the trash in, waste not want not. Oh, look a car seat 🙄 perhaps we can give that to someone, if not it’s curb bound. Funny thing about putting things on the “curb” (no curb really, cause it’s a country road…) out here if the thing has value, it is usually nabbed pretty quick, and that’s better than it being trashed.

Moving around the room and piling numerous items into the trash, the room starts to take shape again. One can walk around without bumping into, or stubbing their toe on something. Counter tops and shelves are revealed, as they are cleared of clutter, and I can actually sit in my radio chair and “Ham” it up a bit. Computer table is cleared of appx. 3 cubic yards of small ‘have to have’ items and Holy Cow!!! The computer still works!

There we go, a complete circuit of the room, decluttering and trashing things that only a couple weeks ago I ‘couldn’t have done without’ and the room is back to useable space again.

Much better now, well until 6 months down the road and I once again have to de clutter it *shrug* what can I say? It happens!

Range Day

Batman Says:

Today, today was a good day, with many things accomplished, some partially, others put off till another day. Today started with a perfect breakfast of Bacon and eggs cooked to perfection by Peach. I used the French press to make a batch of Black Rifle “Coffee or Die” coffee (yes, that’s a thing here). Showers, load the truck (watch Peach go back inside because she forgot her phone), head to the range for a class with one of our long time clients and she is bringing her daughter for the first time.

Great range session, I think some new skills were learned and I believe all had a good time. Peach and I try and be attentive to clients needs and wants at the range and tailor training specific for them, this one is a photographer, often off on her own. She is a super shot (trust me on this, she’s really good) so we worked on scenarios where she was photographing and had to drop the camera, draw and shoot, all which after a few slow repetitions, she did with moderate speed, and excellent skill. Her daughter who also is a great shot and safe gun handler, shoots a rifle with skill that would make some tough guys stand up and take notice (I did, as this was the first time meeting her), both mom and daughter made the morning very fun.

Backtracking a bit, I have been teaching people to shoot for a long (very very in case you must know) time, I am a NRA pistol instructor, a Police firearms instructor, a Class K (can give armed security guard firearms classes) instructor, and give Concealed Carry classes ( CCW classes to Law Enforcement and Military families are always free thru Peach and my Company). All this is done as a side to mine and Peach’s full time jobs, we do it because we feel people need good, safe and friendly training and the two of us together, do our best to give it.

So back to today..

Peach took the time today to do a little shooting with her Glock, and I did my best to help her do it right. She is already a good shot, and more important, she is SAFE WITH FIREARMS any time she handles them. Peach has a “block” issue, I’ve come to recognize this when she shoots. She is such a perfectionist that when a bullet does not go EXACTLY where she thought she was aiming at the point of trigger break, she gets frustrated and unconsciously blocks out any instruction.

At this point I’m going to point out an old saying I heard someplace “a husband should not try to teach his wife to shoot”, why? Because it can, and often does, lead to hurt feelings or worse. My personal belief is that if your relationship is a strong one, and you (that means you husbands, or boyfriends) can show superhuman patience and kindness, all the while smiling and being gracious, then by all means then teach them to shoot (yep, your prolly right, hire someone else). Ok back to the “block”….

Patience and repetitive skill sets will get you past the “block”, as stated earlier, Peach is a good shot and has the right mindset for self defense and for sport shooting. She wants to improve and wants to shoot more than we do. So today started what I hope to be a recurring theme of getting us out there shooting more together.

Today’s only issue with shooting for Peach was rounds impacting lower than she thought she was aiming. I could see the muzzle dipping at the point of trigger break (some would call this recoil anticipation but that was not why she was doing it). Peach’s issue wasn’t recoil anticipation it was lack of trigger time with this new gun, which has a firmer trigger pull. I had her dry fire (first time without her knowledge) and she immediately saw the muzzle dip. We worked a few times with dry fire and letting her use a bit more finger (leverage works no matter how small the lever) and after less than 5 minutes, the dip was gone. Live fire and she was back on the money, now after each reload she was still sending a few rounds low, but she recognized it and concentrated on the trigger break and front site and it all came together. She wanted to stop after one particular round of shooting, but me being somewhat obtuse ( think I used it right this time Peach) I had her shoot one more magazine, and I just stayed back and out of the way. Six rounds in the 2″ circle was the result, Peach was happy and I was happy for her (always try to end any skill contest on a good note).

None of this will mean much to a lot of people, it will offend some, and some will get it. Today was a “good day” for Peach and I and I hope it was a “good day” for you all as well.

I’m going to end this post with a hopeful request..

Say a prayer for their safety and give thanks for their sacrifices, and if you see a Soldier or a Police Officer tell them you appreciate all they do.

“No peach you cannot shoot an apple off my head no matter how good a shot you are”

Courtesy and Common Decency

Batman Says:

Maybe I’m from the wrong era, I suppose I could be, or maybe people just don’t care any more (some never did anyways). I recently found out that some girls, ladies, females (hope that covers it), actually get offended when they are called Ma’am!!?? I have never in my life (no you don’t get to know how old I am but I remember 3 manual channel television sets) heard something so stupid.

I’m from the South (southern United States), we, since we were old enough to talk were taught to be respectful. Respectful to our parents, our elders, and anyone we met at any time. We were taught to answer men, boys, males (see I did it for them to!) with “Sir”, it wasn’t an age thing it was a manners thing. We were taught to answer ladies (see above) with “Ma’am”, again did not matter how old they are/were, when we answered a boy or girl, man or woman, it was with “Sir” or “Ma’am”. It was a courtesy and a sign of respect to our parents that what they taught was actually being used. I, to this day, open doors for people, I tip my hat (I wear cowboy, baseball, boonie hats) to ladies young and old. I get funny looks at times but if I screw up and forget I subconsciously wince remembering my daddy’s hand swat the back of my head “where are your manners boy?”.

Manners: the act of being respectful of others without expecting anything in return for it (Batman definition). The last thing someone should be when they are addressed as “Ma’am” is offended, and it’s a sorry state of affairs that ANYONE would be. Look, there are a bazillion reasons one can find to be offended by someone’s words or actions, being offended by being called “Ma’am” is ludicrous (Peach didn’t know I knew fancy words) to say the least.

I am a parent, some say a good dad and I’m sure some say not, I’m ok with that, no one can say with honesty that I’m not polite and that I did not teach my boys manners. They came out durn good young men, too by the way. I can tell you this, and you can take it to the bank, there will never come a time, no matter if I’m walking with a cane and hunched over, that I won’t tip my hat to a lady, or won’t hold the door for someone or won’t say “Ma’am or Sir”. Be offended if you will but you’re missing the point.

Parents young and old want their children to be respectful, respect is taught at HOME and part of that respect is manners. Teach your kids to say ma’am and sir, show them how to be polite to strangers and friends alike, in the end they will thank you for it I bet. If you’re on the receiving end of a respectful greeting, don’t be offended that the “old guy” called you ma’am, he meant it as a compliment out of respect, not as a slight.

Respect for each other, coupled with manners, if everyone practiced it, would make the places we live in so much nicer.

Common Decency is another, where did being decent as people to each other go, does anyone know? In today’s society all I mostly see are people in a hurry to go someplace without regard for any of the people around them. I’m going to use something different as an example instead of cars, let’s use boats.

From the biggest to the smallest, boats of all shapes are running around on lakes, rivers, oceans (substitute with any other body of water) in greater numbers than ever before. I see it daily as one of my many duties is operating the Police Marine unit. I was out today as a matter of fact, and the longer I stayed out, the more discourteous other boaters became (or I noticed it more). Boaters cutting each other off, following too close, waking each other with hurrying to get nowhere fast. Boats are for recreation, and therefore by definition are supposed to be for fun and relaxation, so why is everyone in a dad blamed hurry all the time? Rules are simple in my neck of the woods, always have a lookout, always slow down around bridges, mooring fields, anchored vessels, and marinas. If we would all just slow the flip down, be courteous to your fellow boaters and it will be safer, and I bet you have just as good a time as you had flying around like your pants are on fire.

Common Decency, another dying art, and that’s a pity as I see it.

Yes Ma’am Peach, I’ll get that garbage out in a jiffy

Something Witty

Batman Says:

Ever sat and stared at your computer, phone, iPad, whatever you use to post these things on, knowing you have ideas but none of them reveal themselves when needed? Pretty sure every time I think about posting, most of my time is used up trying to remember what it was I wanted to post about.

Ever watched a dog chase it’s tail in a circle? Squirrels chase each other round trees and up and down all over? Speaking of squirrels there’s 8 of them so far in our back yard I’m pretty sure they need cholesterol medicine. I have deer feeders and I test them and the squirrels have a feast twice a day, I watched two start to chase each other, but one changed his mind as if to say “it’s not worth getting exhausted over”. Now I’m sure I saw him hail a cab to take him to his nest to save energy.

Well, that’s an example of the term “squirrel!” As I got sidetracked again. Where was I? Oh yeah, posting things. So anyways once I do settle down to post and get going I’m usually ok, but lately it’s been harder to focus as my mind seems to like to take “squirrel” breaks more and more often when I try and be serious. Thus this post, as written, is a kind of explanation to those of you that actually read my posts, as to why they are rarely serious. I’m generally not very serious about most things, only when I have to be for some work thing or Peach forces me to focus and be an adult. I prefer to be a “professional small boy” than to grow up and act my age. It’s more fun, less stressful, and I’m sure I focus better.

Anywho (I made that word up so don’t bother spell checking it) I will continue to post things when the fit comes over me, rarely are they gonna be serious, sometimes they will be funny, hopefully interesting and I will try and include a picture or two of something to brighten someone’s day. If even one person smiles, chuckles or gets annoyed, then I feel my “professional small boy” talents have not gone to waste.

Have you seen the tree frog I had earlier Peach? 😬

Reset

Peach says:

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” — Revelation 21:5

This morning after realizing my husband woke up ahead of me and was on a mission to make us delicious breakfast and coffee (he is SO taken, Y’all!), I headed to the bathroom to take my medicines and brush my teeth. Like I tend to do, I got distracted, I decided to reach under the sink and pull out the new tube of toothpaste and give it to him, and I would keep the older one. (It’s a really weird married thing we do! 🤣)

Imagine my chagrin, when I find instead, a cabinet full of soaking wet towels, wash cloths, and everything else you can imagine. From out of date medicine to three curling irons, two of which I didn’t know I had! Ollllld make up. Really, really old! Lol.

So, I brush my teeth, and then realize I can’t use my sink, because IT’S LEAKING! It was early, Y’all and I had not had my coffee or anything! So, I go to my husbands sink, and it’s clogged! With MY HAIR! How? I have absolutely NO idea! I don’t use his sink! And the timing?! What the…? I finish my teeth, I clean out his drain. I take out all the soggy stuff from under my sink. Realize most things can be thrown away. Go eat breakfast and have coffee with my Honey. And head back to clean out under the cabinet, then make room for Batman to come inspect what was causing the leak. It wasn’t long before he figured it out AND repaired it! He is just the best!! (If more men understood how sexy to women being able and willing to get in those uncomfortable spaces and figuring stuff out and getting it done is, there would be a WHOLE LOT less ‘players’ and a whole lot more MEN! I’m just saying! And then EVERYONE would be a whole lot more content in life!!) Then I was able to arrange a greatly reduced amount of things in our freshly cleaned cabinet. Ta da!

I have not enjoyed the ‘Rona drama in the least. It’s everything I don’t like. Which has made this post hard to write. But, every time I am convinced I can’t take another day, week or month (shudder) of this mess, my spirit says, ‘Be still, be still and KNOW that He is God. Watch and see. Wait.” Not the media. Not the politicians, not the annoying, cloying social media people telling us how well behaved they are to ‘follow the rules’ and be home, to wipe their groceries, ‘Can’t you be more like them?’ implied throughout, (can you hear my eyes rolling up in the back of my head?), etc., nope, no one but the Lord, will ultimately have His purposes prevail in this.

It’s a fallen world, and He’s a GOOD God. He didn’t cause this, but, He KNOWS how to bring His purposes out, and when we, His people pray and seek Him, and ask Him to have His way, in all of it, He will.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28.

People misconstrue this verse at times. All are called, not all answer, or love Him. Not all things are good, but The Lord can work them ALL together for our good. Like fine wine, these things take time!

You may well be wondering what our leaky bathroom sink has to do with the ‘Rona, I don’t blame you! When we were in the early stages of this somewhat of a thing, I started seeing a thread here, and a thread there, and felt like I was perhaps watching the beginnings of a work of The Lord. The kinda thing, where I’m not sure, but, I think He’s up to something. And it began to remind me of something.

Before they shut down salons where we are at, my former Co-Pastor and best friend, more like a sister really, friend for life, was putting that much needed color on my hair, and I asked her what her thoughts were on all this, and immediately she said “Reset”. She repeated it, “Reset, it’s definitely a reset.” And I was like “Yeah, of course it is! That makes so much sense to things I’ve been seeing and hearing and sensing!”

After I left, and continuing since then, I started remembering how when I was growing up, I was largely in charge of cleaning and cooking. Mom studied for college and then once graduated, she and dad each commuted an hour each way to a nearby large city for work.

But, every so often, Mom would take on a project. A large project. And it would be something of a production. Stuff everywhere. Messy. Projects are like that. They are a process. They often look worse, than before you start, right up until the time you finish! Then, all is clean and orderly, WITH the desired improvements. So better at the end!

But, the process! Smh. Always made me anxious. To this day, I sort of shun ‘projects’ because of that disorder, so necessary to accomplish the desired end.

It’s the MAKING of all things new that can be uncomfortable, sometimes stressful. Maybe even painful, depending on what’s getting remade.

Over and over in the Bible, we see a pattern of fresh starts, clean slates, new opportunities, resets. We also see the devil trying for something bad, real bad, and the Lord taking it and working it into His ultimate purpose for good, and bringing provision, restoration, promotion, healing. The Lord knows what we need! He knows we get off track!! He knows when it’s time to help us get back on track! He’s a multitasker!

When I first started cleaning out under the sink. It was a flat mess! It was gross! It looked much worse than it did with the cabinet shut, and all the messy siting in its soggy state. Once the leak was fixed, the whole underneath cleaned, many things thrown out (what was I thinking with some of that stuff?) and then everything that remained put back in its newly assigned spot, it was SO much better!

I know the ‘Rona is bad. Nothing good about it. I also know, it’s definitely been a disruptive force, things are shifting, people are getting fresh perspectives, people are having time to spend together and some are NOT having time to spend together. ALL of it is instructive. All of it is an opportunity for us to clean out under our leaky sinks. The leak turned out not to be a big deal. And it caused me to review my highly questionable storage choices! I am very pleased with the results!

People are getting grace periods in their finances, having time to take care of life stuff, that they often lack the time and energy to deal with in our normal hustle world. Some are forced out of work and re-assessing where they want to be in life. This pause can be an incubator for a new future for a whole lot of people. It’s often hard, really hard, to do the challenging work to prepare and qualify for the job you really want, when you are so immersed in your daily or nightly grind. This time can be the birthing point of many new career/life choices for people!

Businesses, schools, churches, families, maybe even the medical community, or county, city, state and federal governments, are all getting the opportunity, to take what was meant for bad, and turn it for good, as God may direct and make them able. Let’s pray for that!

My prayer then, is Lord, leave no stone unturned in this virus, let Your good purposes prevail! Inspire, provide, protect, lead and guide, separate, banish, restore, repair, heal, unite and line up ALL Your purposes, Your people, Your priorities for Your glory and our good!! Help us to hear and heed You! To not be distracted! Help us to wake up and be alert and focused and purposeful and lined up according to Your leading. Let our hearts be tender to You and our minds sharpened with Your light! Let us all be about building lives that carry You to others!! Not building empty lives that contain the world. Help us learn everything You are teaching and bless Your name as we go! Help us reset according to YOUR purposes! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Thank you for coming by! Please like or comment! We really appreciate you taking time here! God bless you and yours!

Peach

Remember, we don’t have to have a potentially deadly virus for a reset! In Christ, every moment that we need one, we can have one! And EVERY morning is gift of new mercies, fresh grace, a reset!!

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion’s fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22-23

Paralysis

Peach says:

Happy Monday, Y’all! Today was filled with work and chores and learning and connecting and all things important to adulting! 🙂

On the drive home I had several choices for how to spend my drive. I chose to turn on my Terry Savelle Foy book about Vision Boards and Goal Setting. Every time I listen, I get fresh insight and inspiration. I have thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend!

Tonight, what really stuck out for me, was the principle of focusing on one thing at a time, knocking those things off the the list, so to speak, building off of each accomplishment’s success, like stepping stones. She quoted John Maxwell, who I will paraphrase since I can’t remember the exact words, at this moment: ‘Too many priorities leads to paralysis’.

The thing about truth is, when you hear it, you recognize it! Knowing it to be true!

Turns out that in years gone by, you would see animal trainers go into the pen with the lion or tiger, carrying that four-legged stool and hold it legs outward. Any guesses why? It is said it so occupied the fierce felines trying to focus on each of the four legs, it would weaken, distract and help them into a very still state.

Don’t be the frozen feline trying to focus on all FOUR legs of that stool!!

As for me, I’m crossing those goals off one at a time, thank you!! No more paralysis here!!

Thanks for dropping by!! It’s great to be back!! God bless!

The Storm, the Fire, the Noise and the Whisper

50C72454-A43E-48E2-9ECD-5646E1C3DC1F

Peach says: There is a noise to life in these days that can be wonderful and can be awful also. And often disorienting.

For today I need less of the noise I personally make in my own head. I mean, Lord, do I trust You? Or do I trust my ability to figure things out and…do what? Nope. I put no trust in myself or words I could say or actions I could take. That doesn’t mean I do nothing, on the contrary, I continue to pray and declare YOU are Lord, YOU are our Father! YOU are the Great Designer! You are creating a masterpiece and we all get to be a part of it! Order our steps Lord, refine and help us be focused and disciplined! Effective and steadfast!! May the sound of our lives draw others to the flame that is You!! We are on fire but not consumed!

Like Moses at the burning bush, we take our shoes off because this life is Holy Ground. We want to be sensitive to the leading of Your Holy Spirit. We don’t always understand but, we always KNOW You are at work for our good and Your Glory. May we be quick to respond to Your leading and more ‘present’ with You throughout our days. We want to live our lives useful and AVAILABLE to You. We are grateful for Your Holy Spirit, which reveals You to us, and reveals Your ways to us, and guides us.

Less of us, less self focus, and more beholding You. As we behold You, we are transformed ‘from glory to glory’, You Word tells us.

23D2BBB6-6E83-4F28-A7B1-B0806EB47249

When we shut down the noise, and turn away from our talkative minds and choose to still our minds under the peaceful and refreshing waters of His Word, His Presence and His Spirit, we are like over-excited and now worn out children just mentally resting on Him,  catching our breath and getting reoriented with which way is UP and what really matters, and what is just static, to be tuned out.

66BC8D15-6D29-416D-8957-B5B3646A6682.jpeg

Once we recoup He is able to LAUNCH us like an arrow to our next destination!

Shhhh. 🙂 I’m listening! How about you?

Strolls through the woods

Batman says:

When was the last time you took a stroll through the woods? For Peach and I it was just today, walking through the woods checking game cameras for activity (470 pictures of cows the last time I counted). It’s always a fun adventure watching Peach freak out over a banana spider that’s 10′ over her head (hehe sorry peach but it is funny), but she is a trooper always wants to come with me and is great company, there is no one I would rather wander around with than Peach, we have such adventures.

Wandering around in the woods looking at all gods creations and just being outside in nature makes you feel alive and grateful you have the opportunity. The day was perfect, blue clear skies, a breeze, the green of the leaves really showing off their colors. Just being surrounded by all the colors and sounds and sensations is worth a pot of gold to me, and having Peach along makes it all better.

Anyways, that’s enough musing along about my woods walk, y’all get out and look and listen to God’s creations in the woods, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
