The Joy of the Lord is Your STRENGTH – Tuesdays are for Thinking #3

My Sugar Boogas!!

Peach says:

Some thoughts. We lost my Dad on 1 January of this year. It hits me in sharp moments, out of the blue. Like a sneak attack. šŸ’”

There’s been lots of joy this year as well. Batman’s first year of retirement! šŸ„°ā¤ļøšŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ» First full year of SEVEN grandchildren!! šŸ˜šŸ¤— And more good and more hard, and unexpected things besides.

You know, life is like that. It’s not all one thing, right? It’s not just one emotion. it’s processes and pain, and joy and excitement, hope and forgiveness.

I’ve seen in those I love, and experienced myself, grief like I never expected. I’ve seen and experienced wonderful moments of love, and joy, faith and hope right in the middle of it all. Thank God for the WONDER and the GOOD right in the middle of it all, even in the pain.

God is SO faithful, and I do not say that lightly. He really, truly is. The good thing about being in your 50s and having been walking with Jesus for almost 29 years is you learn a lot, hopefully! (though I had a L-O-N-G way to go, and STILL do have a long way to go! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚). But, you do, you learn that nothing but Jesus is permanent. Everything else is learning and moving and loving and living and dying and beginning, and ending and enduring and outlasting, and forgiving and making new ways, it’s a LOT of moving pieces. And the Lord is with us through it all. Making us able. Helping us do the right thing. To have His heart. To believe in and hope for the best, once more again. To be flexible. To give, because it’s right. To surrender. To take that first step or maybe make that first move. To get up and go again. To savor the good today, and shake off the dust from the bad yesterday. And if today is bad, you can shake it off, too, and tomorrow, walk in the new. Jesus has already gone ahead of You, and He has provision for you there! And He’s right here with you in the now, to help you in the going.

We don’t wait to be happy, (and yes, I agree, happiness and joy are different, but that’s for another post!) we choose the happy on the way and in the process, or else we will never be happy. Sometimes we forget this, and that’s ok, as long as we stick with Jesus and have a few Godly, Jesus loving people around us, to just remind us by how they live, that we get to choose. Happy is possible. On the way.

And all of that is to say today I thought about Nehemiah 8:10 ā€œā€¦the Joy of the Lord is your Strengthā€, and Y’all it’s no joke. I wanted to boil it down for you, but of course I couldn’t quite get there. (It’s SO BIG, Y’all!! šŸ¤—) Trust me, this IS the short version! šŸ˜‚ But, the full verse 10 is this —> ā€œThen he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: NEITHER BE YE SORRY; for the JOY of the Lord IS YOUR STRENGTH.ā€

Really you need verses 9-11 to really appreciate it…but His joy, is our STRENGTH…joy is that everlasting, enduring quality we are able to have through our confidence in Him, His character, His presence, His love for us, in spite of temporary conditions, (and everything on this side of Heaven is temporary).

The love of a father and son is a joy to behold!

He makes us able to choose joy, and that will give us great strength, like a fortress for us, that makes us untouchable, where it really counts, in our spirit.

To ā€˜be not sorry’, was the priests urging the people not to grieve so much that they wore grooves into their face, they had grieved, and that was good and necessary, but don’t stay there. Choose to celebrate, to eat the best, drink the sweet, send good things to those who weren’t established and therefore didn’t have the same wherewithal, because ā€˜this day is holy to the Lord.’

And so the people did. Because they understood they were God’s people and He loved them, and He had a Good way for them to live. And now that they knew this, (they had just learned how badly they had broken God’s laws their entire lives) they would now be learning how to live a NEW way, (well, new to them), walking with Him. And that was something to celebrate! Not grieve for the wrong they had done, so much so that they couldn’t enjoy the newness of life WITH Him.

We sometimes have to grieve, then we let it go. Then we celebrate. The life that’s still here. That’s new every day. All the time. A gift. And share. Share with those that aren’t established in this good news. The JOY of the Lord is your STRENGTH.

I think I’d like us to talk about the difference between happiness and joy in a future exploration! Percolating!

We really appreciate y’all coming by to visit! We always hope to have something entertaining, thought provoking, or uplifting for you here!

Peace and love, Y’all! Peace and love!

The River

I could never get enough of this river!

Peach says:

Recently we went a few days getaway up in northwest Georgia. The cabin had all the things we needed to enjoy a few quiet days, on the river, feeding the numerous and friendly deer, and fishing!

I, personally, left the fishing to Batman and our youngest son who came with us! All I wanted to do was take a few pictures to try to capture some memories and read my book!

It was very restful and peaceful and refreshing! There were all sort of geese along with the fish here and there. And the deer, well, EVERYWHERE!

The river was the star of the show for me. I couldn’t stop looking at it. It was in the back yard, there was all kinds of seating and it was just beautiful. The whole time of our visit it was consistent in the way it flowed and gurgled and splashed its way over the rocks. Sparkling and inviting in all of its activities!

I spent vacation looking for messages from the Lord in our time of much needed rest and recreation! For me, I came away with two things. The biggest message was the river itself, steady, flowing, lush and sparkling, ever onward without fail or ebbing, just constant. It made me think of the Goodness of God, always in front of us, so much that it’s more than we can grab hold of, more than we can really comprehend, the overflowing, never ending, always available Goodness of God! Always available to us, to jump in and get all we can, be immersed in, splash around, we can’t contain it, but it is always there for us!

He’s taught me about His goodness in a similar fashion years before.

The world is a wild place these days. A hurting and confused place. It needs the Goodness of God. It needs us, each of us, as the Church to be immersed in His goodness so much that we overflow with the love, the peace, the joy, the patience, the provision that He makes available to us, so we leave a trail of His goodness wherever we go.

He made us agents of His grace and mercy, His Kingdom way of living. It doesn’t mean we don’t fail, flail and fall, but it means He is able to work in us to bring His way of living to bear wherever we go.

ā€œFor this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.ā€ — 1 John 3:8b

ā€œFor God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, ā€œCome back to God!ā€ For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.ā€ — 2 Corinthians 5:19-21

ā€œThe thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).ā€ — John 10:10

Listen! Steady on she flows! The overflowing GRACE of God for us!

Listen to that, Y’all! ā€˜Have and ENJOY life, and have it in ABUNDANCE, to the full, til it OVERFLOWS!!’, flowing like that river, Y’all! Flowing, flowing, flowing! Steady, steady, steady, over the rocks, around the dips and valleys…matter of fact a low place just means MORE WATER!! (Aka more GRACE!!) Nothing stops it! His goodness is coming to bear in our lives! Destroying the works of the enemy!! Healing our sin problem, delivering us from the curse, sin, death and the grave! Giving us a new heart! Sending us forth as containers of His GOODNESS.

I want to add that as beautiful as His plan is, we spend an inordinate amount of time down on ourselves, down on our many ways we fall short. I’m learning though, that His grace just comes in stronger, filling in that low spot in us, in our relationships, and in our counterproductive little habits and our idiosyncrasies that trip us up. In our weakness, we need to be claiming and expecting His strength to come in, His Grace is made perfect in our weakness.

ā€œBut He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!ā€ — 2 Corinthians 12:9.

He is able to, Y’all! — ā€œAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:ā€ —2 Corinthians 9:8

We are imperfect, and that’s no surprise to Him! Just keep floating in that grace River, Y’all! That’s where you will find me!!

Every Sunday and Monday, I start the week thankful for the previous week and blessings and mercies of the Lord in our family, in our lives. It is good for me to remember and look for His hand upon our lives, with gratitude. Then I ask with great expectation for His Spirit to move upon us again, in an Ephesians 3:20 — ā€œNow to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]ā€

Let Your River (of your goodness and grace) flow, Lord, flow right over me!! Flow over my family! Let it flow right over every person and their loved ones who read this, Lord! We look to You and your goodness!!

Oh, taste and see, the Lord, He is good!! Psalm 34:8.

Happy Monday, Y’all!

Let the Wind Fill Your Sails

No Way to Go

Peach here:

Hope this post finds you doing fine! Not exactly sure how this will turn out! Just some thoughts that have been brewing. We shall see how it goes!

ā€œ4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.ā€ — Psalm 37:4, KJV

Recently-ish, as I was driving to work, the thought came to me that the word ā€˜SURRENDER’ has a bad rap. We misunderstand it in the context of the need for it in our relationship with the Lord.

It is thought of in a negative sense, from a worldly point of view. Like losing, giving up, missing out, not being seen or heard.

But, The Holy Spirit was in the middle of teaching me a lesson. That Surrender in the Kingdom of God, leads to all kinds of GOOD things.

To surrender to God, means to yield to Him. To make ourselves available for Him, a vessel fit for His for use. Like a large, old time sailing ship, with the sails unfurled and ready to be filled with the wind to propel the ship towards its destination.

Sails yielded to the sea breeze. Ready for a journey!

In April 2015 I was diagnosed was Diabetes. It was a tremendous shock. Early on, a verse that has been important to me as I navigate this was ā€œAnd he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.ā€ — 2 Corinthians 12:9.

It was never a verse I got excited about. Just being honest. But, over these years since, I have pondered and turned and thought about it in various applications, and am continuing to learn from it. One of the best parts is the fact that He is not looking for our strengths, or what we can do for Him, or what we can bring Him. In fact, our strengths, while a blessing and definitely a gift, can also be a place we tend to forget about Him. Because much like a child, ā€˜I do it my own self’ sort of mentality creeps in on us. We don’t even realize it.

But, when we know our weak spots, we are more likely to make room for Him, His Holy Spirit, His strength, His way of doing things!

Surrender isn’t giving up. It’s the humility of being yielded. Fully available for our Lord’s use. In other words, it’s a power move! It’s us making ourselves available for the strength and power of God to work in and through us, — ā€œHe giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.ā€ — Isaiah 40:29.

One of my (many) all time favorites, has blessed me over and over and over again, is listed above, Psalm 37:4, — ā€œDelight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.ā€, and it’s a great illustration of this principle of surrender, of yieldedness — at work in our relationship with our Lord. To ā€˜delight’ in Him, as used there, means to be soft to Him, pliable to Him, and as we do this, we are then in a position to be entrusted with the most precious, and secret desires of our hearts, the too sensitive, too precious to even speak to another, because they are so unlikely in their exquisite goodness, those desires of our hearts! It’s because in that instance, our hearts have begun to beat with His. And we are in agreement for His Ephesians 3:20 goodness in our lives!!

Batman took this of our rain soaked Hawaiian Hibiscus

This Hawaiian Hibiscus pictured above is tender, fragile, and not strong at all. It is also brilliant! Gorgeous! And so pleasing to the eye!

If it was strong and sturdy and rigid…it would not be much of a flower! But, as it is, I can’t look at it without smiling and feeling joy! That is what it is here for! It is fulfilling its purpose!

If that sail boat above, wanted stronger, more sturdy and inflexible ā€˜sails’, it would not be effective at letting the wind fills its sails, and then going where the wind blows! It’s better to have yielded sails, able to be FILLED with the sea breeze!

Let the weak say ā€œI am strong!ā€

Lord, here I am! Use me! I want to be yielded to You! Gladly will I boast in m weakness, as Paul said, for then You can be strong in me!

Peace and love, y’all! Peace and love!

Blooming

My gardenia bush!! My Dad started it for me. I think about 12 years ago or so? It’s magnificent! It’s like a big ā€˜I Love You’ from Heaven, and I love it!

Peach here –

It’s good and Spring now! It took awhile but it’s really here now!

Yellow Hibiscus! I’m in love!

We picked up a couple of blueberry bushes and some more hibiscus (the yellow, some of them above).

Jerry got them planted this week and mulched. He is quite the gardener! Have I mentioned that I’m totally nuts about him? šŸ˜

I just don’t think there’s anything prettier!

I don’t know if it’s the mood I’m in this year, or the age I’m getting to, but I LOVE flowers!! Flowers, flowers, flowers!

This lady is from our Fire and Ice Hibiscus and it is just stellar!! I highly recommend!

Spring is a season of transition, of hope, of promise of things to come, signs of life, renewal, newness of life, out with old, in with the new, cleaning up, clearing out.

It can be a lot. But, there’s also, a lot that it can be!

I love the holidays AND winter so much. It’s often hard for me to let go of winter and embrace the change and newness of Spring

But, I’m determined to not be that person stuck in the past. To value, appreciate and enjoy the past while fully rooted in the now, and reaching forward to the promise of the future!

Nature teaches us to embrace the cycle of life. It’s our example from the Lord for our good!

This! This is our Hawaiian Hibiscus!! When it opens it will be yellow with a pink center!!! I mean, šŸ¤—?!

Like the flower above, the full goodness of what’s in store ahead does not yet appear, but we can trust our Good Father for the Ephesians 3:20 — ā€œNow unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,ā€ of life! If it’s not good yet, hold on, trust Him and SEE what He does!

More blooming going on! 🄰
His first time in the water and he loves it!!! šŸ˜
Water baby!
Da Sugar Boogars!! šŸ¤—
The little Easter Bunny!!
These two are going to be so much fun in years to come!
Resurrection Sunday!! Much fun was had by all!

We had a grand ole time on Easter Sunday with all the kids! The Dads hid the eggs and the Moms stuffed the eggs! Then we let loose the hordes and the kids found the eggs!!

ā€œWhile the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.ā€ — Genesis 8:22.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love, peace, and blooming flowers,

Peach

Reflections.

ā€œEvery time we think of you, we thank God for you. Day and night you’re in our prayers as we call to mind your work of faith, your labor of love, and your patience of hope in following our Master, Jesus Christ, before God our Father. It is clear to us, friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special.ā€ — 1 Thessalonians 1:2-5, The Message

Peach says:

We lost my Daddy on 1 January this year.

He and my Mom had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my youngest brother and his wife and their daughters, and I am pretty sure that my Baby Sis and her family made it there as well.

In our family we did not have a set routine to celebrate Thanksgiving. So, each year we all did our own things, sometimes some of us connecting in various ways at various times.

A few scant days after, he took ill. It happened horribly fast, no time to adjust at each step of decline, before another step overtook us.

We are all walking with a limp now, I guess you could say. Walking it out, figuring it out, praying it out, talking it out, loving it out, faithing it out, sometimes crying it out.

Questions. So many questions. Memories. Unaccomplished wishes. Things to hold onto that make you feel close to him. Like he can live on in your lives and be instilled in your family dna.

Beyond the thousand little cuts where you can’t hug him, can’t introduce him to great grandkids, can’t text him, can’t call him, or drive the backroads to visit him, beyond all this hangs the question, ā€˜What’s he experiencing? What’s Heaven like for him right now? What is he doing?’

I don’t doubt it’s beyond our ability to conceive. Far, far richer, far sweeter, far deeper. But, I want to know. And I feel the Lord encouraging the question. ā€œIt is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. — Proverbs 25:2

Yesterday afternoon, all the way through last night, my thoughts and pondering peaked in this regard. Jesus taught during His time on earth, through the rabbinical style of asking questions, and still does today.

I found myself the last week or so wondering if my Father in law had met up with Daddy yet, for a cup of coffee and ā€˜catching up’, welcoming him to the place. We lost my Father in law in December 2014. I think of him every day. Miss him very much. See him in his son, my Batman, everyday.

Then I realized likely my Granddaddy would be at that table for coffee. We lost him in late March of 1983. I picture the men on the outside of a wooden building, under an overhang, as to a porch on an old style of a General Store.

I picture them smiling, talking, sipping, contemplating. The question came ā€˜Do you really think so?’ Yeah, I really kinda do. ā€˜Ok. Can you think of what you know from The Word that can help support that?’

I can. God is very relational. He created us for relationship with Him. He designed us not only in His image to have relationships, but also that we need one another, and each have different parts and pieces that only work best in collaboration with each other. The Church (Body of believers) is designed for us to work and be in relationship with each other. He designed us so that some friends are like family and some family are like friends. Yeah, I think that continues at a higher level in Heaven.

He let me steep in that picture for a little while and then took me around the table to what they might be saying:

My FIL, (sweet smile he had when he’s tickled): ā€œI tell ya, I never imagined how much I would like it here. How welcome I would be. How much at home I would feel. I had no idea how good this would be!ā€

My Daddy, with eyes in wonder: ā€œIt’s more than everything I ever dreamed! I did not realize or expect to be so near to the Father and His Son, to be so near to Jesus, to see where all the prayers are kept! It’s absolutely overwhelming! It makes all the hell seem trivial in comparison to this!ā€

My GrandDaddy, looking at his coffee cup, kinda smiling: ā€œYou boys haven’t seen the half of it! Wait until you see what they’re working on!ā€

ā€œTwo others, both criminals, were taken along with him for execution.

When they got to the place called Skull Hill, they crucified him, along with the criminals, one on his right, the other on his left.

Jesus prayed, ā€œFather, forgive them; they don’t know what they’re doing.ā€

Dividing up his clothes, they threw dice for them. The people stood there staring at Jesus, and the ringleaders made faces, taunting, ā€œHe saved others. Let’s see him save himself! The Messiah of God—ha! The Chosen—ha!ā€

The soldiers also came up and poked fun at him, making a game of it. They toasted him with sour wine: ā€œSo you’re King of the Jews! Save yourself!ā€

Printed over him was a sign: this is the king of the jews.

One of the criminals hanging alongside cursed him: ā€œSome Messiah you are! Save yourself! Save us!ā€

But the other one made him shut up: ā€œHave you no fear of God? You’re getting the same as him. We deserve this, but not him—he did nothing to deserve this.ā€

Then he said, ā€œJesus, remember me when you enter your kingdom.ā€

43 He said, ā€œDon’t worry, I will. TODAY you will join me in PARADISE.ā€ — Luke 23:32-43, KJV

Thanks for coming along with me in my ponderings.

Love and faith, Y’all, Love and faith.

The Goodness of God

ā€œThe heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word;
their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.ā€

— Psalm 19:1-4

Peach says:

So much happened during the past year, the Lord was so good to bring us through so much, bestowed so much sweetness and goodness on us in the past year, it’s hard to know how to get back started again in writing. But, write we must. So like any big, monumental mountain of laundry facing you, you just get in there and start sorting through and making piles.

The best I could figure as I sorted through photos from the past seven months, by way of remembering the overall big things, I felt it might be best to start with a giant thanksgiving post, to the GOODNESS, astounding goodness, of our Father God.

MeMa Heaven!!

We saw Batman through his final year in law enforcement! He finished many little things, details, he wanted to accomplish before retiring. He’s whole, healthy and so ALIVE, something you have to celebrate every day in law enforcement!

He was blessed to be a part of so very many great adventures in his career. Things that in my mind were too numerous and too good to not have been ā€˜steps of a good man’ ā€˜ordered by the Lord’

He is now permanently assigned to retirement life with me! AND our kids and grandkids, and there will be lots of very different adventures to come! Albeit, gardening, fort building, putt putt golfing, fishing, real golfing, traveling, coffee on the deck in the morning, more picture taking, more writing, and generally enjoying and growing and learning! Still side gigging, but at a sedate pace! So grateful! The possibilities are endless and every day, we literally can’t believe how awesome it is!

And the flowers!!! Well, we will talk more about them in a future post I am sure!! He’s the bomb, y’all!

We welcomed sweet, sweet grandsons (Kylan, in August) and (Henry, in November), and we just cannot get enough of them!! Overwhelming love and joy and great expectation and hope, a sure hope, for the future! Brand new, little humans to love and enjoy and teach and just relish life and the wonder of God with and watch them take on the world and make their way!!

Babies, babies, babies!!

Our oldest son battled the dreadful virus and whooped it, by the GRACE of God and his whole family whooped it, including his pregnant wife! Somehow, the Lord helped them navigate the purchase of their first home in that crazy month. Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. The joy! The gratefulness. The wonder.

Our youngest son came to work with me in my dear brother in law’s company, during the fall!! I can’t even EXPLAIN the astounding joy and wonder at getting to share this with him and watch him in his element!! Being so gracious to customer after customer, going out of his way, as a matter of refined, routine, over and over, and finding a way to connect with and secure a client, oh so many times, while encouraging coworkers. It’s like a giant Christmas gift! Every day!

The holidays brought all the joy we could imagine and more! But. The season was not without pain. But, I’m not ready to talk about it. We will save that for another day. I will say, however, that even in pain the Lord provides, there is love and shelter, and grace and provision, if we will let Him in, let Him guide and provide. He is so faithful.

I would love to post more pics, but, I want to respect my sons’ privacy and I’m not sure how much is ok to post! I’m just so proud of them!

My heart!!! ā¤ļøšŸ˜

You and me, Batman!! Forever! So far to go! So much LOVE to live!!!

See y’all real soon!

Jumbled Thoughts

Batman Says:

Been plotting and contemplating but have come up with no real plan yet. Sometimes, more often than not, that’s how most things I do get their start. I’ll be sitting around and “poof” some errant thought intrudes on my peace and I’m off to the races to do something even if I’m not sure what it is or how to accomplish it. Posts are like that too a lot with me, there are few, very few that are planned and well thought out, most just seem to “happen” from squirrels that run past in my head. Today it’s a jumbled mess of ideas that keep flitting past but nothing seems to stick. Peach made an AWESOME breakfast (she always does, but this was awesomer than normal) scrambled eggs, bacon, toast with apple butter, followed by coffee of course 😬.

Went to town and got supplies, salt for the water softener, ac filter, potting soil just simple things to keep the homestead up and running. Gonna have to replace AC this year don’t think this one has another summer in it, it’s ancient for AC units. Lowe’s, great that they give veterans discounts, now if they can hire workers that want to help customers, example “can you tell me which isle the water softener salt is on?” “Good luck, Florida is under a salt shortage”. This my friends is “horse feathers” (being polite, I won’t use bad words), there have been salt shortages all over I know, but have not heard of any in Florida, especially while he was “answering” my question with horse feathers, ace hardware was on the phone with Peach and they had loads. Went to Ace later and there were pallets on pallets of the stuff. If you’re going to make stuff up, come up with a better story, how about the “truth?!” Maybe Lowe’s is having a hard time getting salt but that doesn’t mean everyone is. Anywho (yep there’s that made up word again) we got what we needed and made it home without too much delay, and we are all set.

Fast forward a couple hours and here I am out on the deck grilling steaks, nothing better have I found than steaks done right on the grill with sweet “taters” slathered in butter and fork tender, don’t that look purdy?

And now, here I am a short while later after eating a superb meal at home with my Peach, flaked out in my favorite recliner (Peach bought me) poking at the keys on my phone keyboard trying to finish a post that I hope at least someone finds interesting.

First day of spring, I’m laughing you just can’t see it I swear, I mean it’s colder here now than it has been for most of the latter part of “winter”.

Getting a new television Thursday it’s time to replace this one, it works ok just can’t add external speakers and the sound isn’t the best. Ordered me some new hiking boots as mine are worn out, not that I hike but I do an awful lot of wandering around and stuff taking pictures and hunting among other things. I ordered them to keep Peach from doing so, she’s always getting me stuff and won’t get herself any and she needs them just as much as I do.

Peach has been putting out more podcasts y’all stop by MustardOnMyCollar.com and you can listen to them and learn good stuff. You really don’t want to miss hearing her make the Bible clear and understandable without changing the meaning, or listening to naysayers who think they know better what God is telling her say. If God puts it your heart to tell others, you tell it like He says not like you think He means. Oh yeah, you can find it on Spotify and Stitcher also same thing Mustard on my Collar. I don’t think that you will be disappointed, if you give the episodes a listen, they are short and Peach has a lovely voice.

Made us coffee a bit ago and we are sitting round drinking it, I’m working on this post, Peach is working on this weeks podcast, and we are just relaxing, windows open letting the cold 52.9f air blow the staleness out of the house, I love the fresh air and what it does, but don’t think for one second that I’m not wearing my Batman sweats and am wrapped up in my blanket…Batman hates anything below 70.0 and will always bundle up.

Y’all gotta try NightSky and SkyView apps they are free and they are so much fun looking at the stars and stuff with. God stuck some amazing things up there for us to ponder over didn’t he? Stars, galaxies, comets, asteroids, all kinds of colors and shapes it’s cool to see.

What a wonderful day and night I’ve had with Peach, just being ourselves and goofin off, could not ask for more, I don’t think. Tomorrow is another day and the only thing I know I have to do is clean the fish tank. Funny how with a saltwater aquarium if you blink, algae starts and it’s so hard to keep up with. But it is something we gotta do from time to time to keep the fish and critters happy and healthy.

I believe I may attempt grass cutting tomorrow but not sure, may have to put it off till next weekend. I’m good at procrastinating grass cutting duty.

Welp tomorrow is here and naw I don’t have to procrastinate, it’s cold and wet out there, neither are good for grass cutting.

Anyways, enough rambling about, things to do maybe, or better yet, since it is Sunday nothing to do but get in the word a bit and learn, y’all have a nice day.
